How to reach Halle (Saale)?

By Train

Halle (Saale) can be reached directly by fast ICE trains from Hamburg, Berlin, and Munich. Apart from that, there is a direct IC train from Cologne and Hannover to Halle every two hours. The railway station is located around 2 km from the city center and the conference venue (see interactive map below).

By Car

If you plan to travel by car, you can reach Halle via the A9, A14, or A38 highways. Please see the interactive map below.

By Plane

The closest airport to Halle is Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ), which can be reached by train from Halle within 15 minutes. Other suitable airports are Berlin (1h30m by train), Munich (3h by train), and Frankfurt (3h by train).


Conference Venue

The lectures and coffee breaks will take place in the "Auditorium Maximum" (Universitätsplatz 1, see red marker Red Marker on map below).

The registration and poster sessions will take place in the "Melanchthonianum", which is directly opposite to the Auditorium Maximum (Universitätsplatz 9, see green marker Green Marker on map below).

You will receive Lunch vouchers for the "Harzmensa", which is located a few hundred meters north of the conference venue (Harz 41, see orange marker Orange Marker on map below).

The conference dinner will be located in the Dormero Hotel „Rotes Ross“ (Leipziger Straße 76, see blue marker Blue Marker on map below).

The welcome reception on Sunday evening will take place in the Stadthaus Halle (Marktplatz 2, see yellow marker Yellow Marker on map below).
